All servers currently in use will be changed to TBC
It is a pain for those who want to finish max but don’t have the time to do it due to the changes to tbc or remain in the WOW TBC Gold old school and discover new guilds and begin the process of raiding Nax from scratch, with an entirely new raid. If they want to play tbc then they’ll have to pay the cloning services to either go into tbc, or begin by scratch. The cloning process could have been free as the original wow community that’s left is going to be much smaller, especially given the high fee.
All servers currently in use will be changed to TBC servers. The new Vanilla versions of those servers will be available. You have the option of activating the character on either the Vanilla or TBC version. You’ll have to pay to activate the same character on both.
Edit: This article is a reprint of Blizz. On patch day, you will be able to access the Battle.net desktop and select the game you want to play: WoW Classic or Burning Crusade Classic. Your existing characters will show in both games with your old name or. After you’ve selected an option to play, you’ll pick the character you want to play and confirm your choice. You may also use an optional paid service to play the cloned characters from the two game types if you choose to play as your character in both. All you have to do is log into the game as usual and begin playing.
Yes, as the copy is made prior to release. Classic contains all the characters, therefore there is no copy delay when you select Classic. If you select TBC and the copy is made, it could result in downtime (just because it’s not instant) and imagine a number of people’s characters being copied simultaneously which could slow the system down.
Botters will most likely benefit from the boost, making it even more challenging for bots. However, if bots were properly taken care of, I don’t think the boost would be much of an issue. I have five friends who are returning to classic due to the fact that we all love tbc and they join only because they can boost past the vanilla levelling content.
Our characters are all in Classic already. They certainly don’t want down time for anyone who is going to TBC. Each character will have its names copied prior to the launch. TBC will flip the “active bit” on the TBC database to true, and the Classic bit to false if you choose TBC. You can then pay $35 for them to flip the Classic bit back.
I don’t know however, it’s Asmongold’s source of income. He has even admitted that there are no other skill that is cheap Burning Crusade Classic Gold marketable. Some people I understand particularly when it comes to discussions about micro-macrotransactions. Despite our disagreement with the policy of ActiBlizz, many of us would like to play TBC.
