I ask this, since general 2007scape
I likely will RS gold not get an answer, but I believe one could be perfect for setting prospective community expectations, especially in light of their current updates OSRS are getting. Measures will release on the 27th without any flaws. I believe someone said work started on it in March of the year. Even with Covid-19, do you feel that the quantity of time spent is a decent representation of just how long this kind of content would take to create, from start to finish? Minus the difficulties of Covid-19, do you believe the pursuit could have been finished faster?
I ask this, since general 2007scape does seem to have the ability to”put out more content, faster”. My primary gripe with this statement is that generally speaking, a lot of OSRS’s updates simply mirror RS3’S QOL upgrades, storylines, and features. I am aware that’s insulting sounding, but more practically it’s simply transferring content from RS3 to OSRS, also I think it is much simpler and faster to execute updates into OSRS like this because the base and storyboard currently exists, only the sprites and zones need to be recreated for a stronger engine.
I am biased in thinking OSRS is the easier game to develop for coding and art wise, any JMOD is free to provide insight and even fix me here. That is all off-topic and my own personal opinion. But RS3 is the harder game to develop for. If this quest is a fair representation of 3 months of effort for Runescape 3 by a group of X individuals, I believe it’s going to be a method of setting expectations for futures content”droughts”. “This is the length of time it takes on RS3 to deliver content -that – caliber” will set a good benchmark for the long run. I also think it’d be a great way to introduce polling back to RS3, so we are able to see what sort of content has been provided, and what kind of timeframe we’d be looking at during voting.
It could be the opposite, RS3 is easier to write code to get as it has more contemporary programming implementations etc. I believe a lot of the delay in RS3 is due to polish such as voice acting, animations as well as art.
Why does it upgrade part rather than in the Start
Fair question really. We have repositioned this as This Week In Runescape but we are talking about it. We do want to carry on doing so – it’s important to signpost our larger upgrades – but we can have a look at how to make it clearer (on top of avoiding a less of specification at the actual text that it’s next week!). There’s this idea called a Monthly BTS. You Old School RS Gold make. Perhaps you can produce a video enclosing it.
