Intelligent people sought out the best raiding spec, and then they took it on their own. Raids with abso-fuckingly the same warriors and mages, and rogues, all following identical BiS sets and sporting identical rotations, produced raids that were full of identical specifications. Absolute homogeneity for the proficient, a million ways to get fucked up and be considered a complete noob by everyone else . You’ll have to pay a gold tax to fix it.
It’s true, you get an illusory feeling of control and authority as you stick your fourth talents point in “Do +1 percentage more of it” or put your 30th talent point in “this ought to be a baked-in level of ability”. This is a flimsy illusion. You’re not developing any technique or mastering anything more complex than a five year old’s book of stickers.
