It is not until New Leaf that the sisters’ full backstory is discharged. Sooner or later, Label and took on the title Labelle and Animal Crossing Items Sable had a massive debate and Label left to make a life where she met Gracie. City Folk has Label sending letters to Mabel in hopes of reconciling with her family, but while Mabel wants them to get together again, she isn’t overly optimistic about Sable’s feelings toward their prodigal sister. Talk about lore!

Fast forward back to that which, and New Leaf appears to have worked out. Gracie runs GracieGrace by herself in the T&T Emporium because Label’s working at the Abel Sisters, selling attachments in the extension to the primary store. She’s still moving by Labelle, but given that she certainly got the brief end of her family’s naming tradition stick, who can blame her?

Feeling sad about the Able sisters yet? It is true that their history is a bit out of place in a setting where gamers’ biggest problems usually need to do with enlarging their McMansion. For those who feel like this type of backstory is too dark for Animal Crossing, don’t worry–somebody in the group should agree with you, because New Horizons retcons their backstory. While I believe Mabel and Sable’s parents are still very much dearly departed, as far as the match shows, Label abandoned the family business with her sisters’ blessing to start her very own designer brand”Labelle”.

Nada, injury. Feelings of jealousy and betrayal, zilch. Tense reconciliation, nope. New Horizons spins the sisters’ background into something more optimistic, linking in with the match’s tendency of turning Tom Nook into Cheap Nook Miles Ticket a sympathetic figure and making the villagers significantly nicer and more easygoing. There’s plenty of mixed feelings about that going around the playerbase, and it’s about time the Able sisters’ backstory made a dash in that fantastic big ongoing argument.
