Tackle your workouts with confidence in performance running shoes

“Following a team-up with ASICS earlier this year, Germany’s Asphaltgold have linked up with Reebok for an anti-cute take on a classic. The ‘Death to Cute’ drop puts a spin on the iconic reebok club c 85 and re-makes it with a bevy of custom details throughout. The drop comes clad in terry-lined premium white leather and red accents while adding ‘Death to Cute’—related hits to the likes of the tongue branding badges and lace tips. The kicks even come packaged in a customised box with a collection of related patches, a beanie, and a bag.

PUMA‘s sneaker-related headlines throughout 2020 have been focused around the brand’s modern-day foray into performance-basketball. Yet, it’s outright disrespectful to talk about newcomers into the wildcat-inspired brand’s sports and sportswear family without mentioning the athletes and influencers of yesteryear and their shoe of choice: the puma deutschland. Originally designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui as a performance-running model, the GEL-cushioned pair has enjoyed new life in the lifestyle category. And while not a collaboration with Levi’s or Japanese equivalent, the two recent pairs are sure to propel the asics tiger herren into the next three decades. Furthermore, leather overlays atop the denim base add a touch of quality that also translates onto the branded, ostensibly Vachetta leather panels throughout the upper. Sole units indulge in their pairs’ respective colors, but also feature off-white tread.

Akin to a previous joint-effort with BEAMS, uppers on the fifth version of the new balance 990 are clad in New Balance’s iconic grey style. “Black,” however, interrupts the two-tone arrangement across the mesh toe box, collar and tongue. The latter’s U.S. flag logo also partakes in the monochromatic scheme á la Outkast’s Stankonia album cover. Elsewhere, “Black” takes over much of the mixed-material heel area, just like on DTLR‘s upcoming New Balance 997 Greek Gods pack. Forefoot halves of the ENCAP Reveal midsole round out the greyscale aesthetic in white.
