The Mac and Linux versions of Rocket League will not be updated

The Mac and Linux versions of Rocket League will not be updated after a final patch in March.

Developer Psyonix announced this Rocket League Trading  thru a Steam publish final week, but has since taken to Reddit to clarify the selection.

The trade is attributed to the studio’s plans to update the Windows model from 32-bit to 64-bit and improve from DirectX nine to DirectX eleven. This will enable Psyonix to keep including “new varieties of content material and capabilities we might want to develop” that can’t be supported on LOLGA  DirectX 9, that means any future content material will not work for gamers using this version.
